- Operational Support: Assist police officers and staff with day-to-day duties in various departments, including Crime Investigation, Community Policing, Forensics, and Intelligence.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide general office support, including managing documents, data entry, preparing reports, and assisting with case management and casework.
- Public Engagement: Support community engagement initiatives, assist with public safety campaigns, and contribute to projects designed to improve local relations.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to support investigations or community safety programs. Gather and analyze data, producing reports and recommendations.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating events, public outreach, and crime prevention programs.
- Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop your knowledge of policing, law enforcement practices, and leadership in public service.
- Health & Safety: Support ensuring the wellbeing and safety of colleagues, as well as contribute to the development of safety procedures and protocols within the force.
- Problem-Solving: Help identify and contribute to solutions for operational challenges, assisting in improving internal processes or service delivery.
- Academic: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- Eligibility: Applicants should be school leavers or early-career individuals who are enthusiastic about pursuing a career in policing or public services.
- Location: Must be willing to work at various West Midlands Police stations and offices within the region.
- Previous Work Experience: While formal work experience is not required, any previous voluntary work, customer service, or part-time jobs in community-facing roles will be advantageous.
- Interest in Policing: A genuine interest in law enforcement and community safety, with a desire to contribute positively to public service.
- Team Experience: Experience working in teams, whether through school projects, sports, or extracurricular activities, is beneficial but not essential.
