Description

The Department of Defense (DoD) Internship Students Program 2025 provides undergraduate and graduate students with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in national security, defense operations, and technology. This program aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders and professionals dedicated to serving the nation. Interns will work alongside DoD experts and gain hands-on experience in critical areas related to defense, cybersecurity, engineering, policy, and research.

Responsibilities
  • Support various DoD departments by assisting with ongoing projects, research, and analysis.
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform policy and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with teams across different divisions to understand complex defense-related challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and briefings for senior leadership.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a U.S.-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of application.
  • Majors related to national security, political science, international relations, computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or related fields are preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and security clearance (if necessary).
Experience
  • No prior work experience required, but previous internships or research experience in defense, policy, technology, or related fields will be an advantage.
  • A demonstrated interest in the defense industry, national security, or public service is highly preferred.
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with research methods and data analysis.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
