Description

The INTERPOL Internship Undergraduate Programme provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in an international policing organization. Interns will work within different divisions of INTERPOL, contributing to various tasks and projects that support the organization's mission to assist law enforcement in combating international crime. This internship allows students to enhance their skills in an international environment while learning about global security issues, law enforcement cooperation, and policing strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing INTERPOL projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with research and data collection on current international crime trends and security matters.
  • Prepare and analyze reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external use.
  • Assist in managing communications and outreach efforts, including drafting communications, social media posts, and reports.
  • Help coordinate meetings, conferences, and other events, ensuring logistical support and documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide administrative and technical assistance.
  • Support the preparation of training materials and other resources related to law enforcement and international cooperation.
  • Contribute to other tasks as assigned by the internship supervisor or department head.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Law, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Must be available for the full duration of the internship (typically 3-6 months).
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and demonstrate a strong interest in international law enforcement and security issues.
Experience
  • Previous internships or voluntary work in law enforcement, international organizations, or research-based roles is an asset, though not mandatory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar office productivity tools is preferred.
Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages, especially French, are an asset).
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to conduct research and summarize findings.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Interest in global security, law enforcement, and international cooperation.
