The AES Indiana Internship Program offers high-achieving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the energy and utility sector. - Project Support: Assist with ongoing projects in areas such as renewable energy, energy distribution, and infrastructure development.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making processes in areas like energy usage, cost efficiency, and environmental impact.
- Research: Conduct research on emerging energy technologies and best practices to support AES Indiana’s strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work alongside experienced professionals in cross-functional teams to contribute to business objectives.
- Reporting: Create and present regular reports detailing progress on projects, findings from data analysis, and research insights.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in operations and efficiency within the department, recommending potential solutions.
- Customer Engagement: Assist in customer-focused initiatives, such as developing educational content on energy conservation or customer service improvements.
- Sustainability Projects: Contribute to AES Indiana’s sustainability goals by supporting initiatives related to energy efficiency, renewable resources, and environmental responsibility.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program (preferably in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related fields).
- Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work a full-time or part-time internship schedule during the summer of 2025.
- Strong interest in the energy industry and sustainable practices.
- Previous internships or volunteer experience in related fields (engineering, energy, environmental science, business, etc.) is a plus but not required.
- Experience with project-based work or academic coursework that involved team collaboration and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or software is beneficial (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
