BCP Council is offering exciting summer internship placements for 2025 to give students and recent graduates valuable work experience within a local government environment. Responsibilities
Interns will be assigned to specific departments, where they will:
- Assist with day-to-day operations and project coordination
- Conduct research and gather data for reports and presentations
- Support the delivery of key initiatives and activities
- Help with administrative tasks including document management, communications, and scheduling
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions
- Support public consultations, events, and engagement activities

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a higher education program (undergraduate or postgraduate) or have graduated within the last 12 months
- Applicants from all academic backgrounds are welcome, but an interest in local government, public administration, social services, or community development is desirable.
Experience
- No prior work experience is required, although any previous internship, volunteering, or part-time work experience will be an advantage
- A keen interest in local government, public services, or community engagement will be beneficial.
Skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
