The Columbus Ohio Airport Internship Program is designed to provide college students with hands-on experience in airport operations, management, and customer service. This internship offers students the chance to learn about the aviation industry, engage in airport management tasks, and develop skills relevant to careers in aviation, transportation, business, and public administration.
- Support daily airport operations, including monitoring and assisting with terminal activities.
- Collaborate with various airport departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, and Public Safety.
- Assist in the coordination of airport events, community outreach, and passenger services.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience.
- Participate in planning meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions to gain comprehensive insights into airport management.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, or updates to airport supervisors and stakeholders.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university (Junior or Senior preferred).
- Majoring in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Previous internship experience in aviation, transportation, or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Relevant coursework or projects related to airport operations or management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
