The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) is offering an exciting internship opportunity for 2025. - Support policy research and development across a wide range of areas within digital, culture, media, and sport.
- Contribute to the drafting of policy briefs, reports, and presentations for senior leaders.

- Help organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and conferences related to DCMS's areas of focus.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in the digital, cultural, and media sectors to inform strategic initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to project teams, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of key outputs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment of projects with DCMS’s strategic goals and priorities.
- Help coordinate internal communications, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of project developments.
- Engage with external partners, industry bodies, and other government departments to build relationships and support collaboration on key initiatives.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program, preferably in digital media, cultural studies, public policy, communications, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance (minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent).
- An understanding of the digital, culture, media, and sport sectors is an advantage but not required.
- Passion for innovation, culture, media, and public policy development.
- Previous internship or work experience in the public sector, media, technology, or cultural industries is desirable, but not required.
- Demonstrable ability to conduct research and produce clear, concise written content.
- Experience of working collaboratively in a team setting and assisting in the delivery of projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information to different audiences.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
