Description

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Internship Program and Fellowships offer students and early-career professionals the opportunity to work at the forefront of global health, development, and education. This program provides participants with hands-on experience in philanthropy and nonprofit work, exposing them to innovative projects and initiatives aimed at solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Responsibilities
  • Support projects across various focus areas, including global health, poverty alleviation, education, and access to technology.

Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree program or recent graduation within the last two years.
  • Strong academic record, with a demonstrated interest in public health, international development, education, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Commitment to social justice, equity, and the foundation’s mission to improve lives around the world.
Experience
  • Previous experience in nonprofit organizations, government, consulting, or research is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working on projects or initiatives in global health, development, education, or related areas is beneficial.
Skills
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.
  • Interest in philanthropic work and an understanding of global development issues.
