Responsibilities

As an intern at John Wayne Airport, you will:

  • Support daily airport operations, including monitoring of terminal activities and assisting in customer service.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis on passenger traffic, airline performance, and other operational metrics.
  • Participate in airport safety inspections and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Operations, Facilities Management, Customer Relations, and Environmental Services.
  • Provide support for airport events, tours, and educational outreach programs.
  • Draft reports, memos, and presentations for airport staff and management.
  • Engage in project-based work, contributing ideas to improve airport services and operational efficiencies.
  • Attend meetings and workshops with various airport departments and external partners.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
  • Major in fields such as Aviation Management, Public Administration, Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Experience
  • Prior internship or relevant coursework in aviation, transportation, customer service, or public administration is a plus.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and report writing is beneficial.
  • Previous customer service experience is advantageous, as the role may involve direct interaction with passengers.
