The Loma Linda Internship Research Undergraduate Program (2025) provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in research within a dynamic and supportive environment. This program aims to enhance students' academic growth, develop practical research skills, and prepare them for future careers in healthcare, science, and related fields. Interns will work alongside experienced researchers, contributing to projects that span a wide range of disciplines, including biomedical research, public health, clinical studies, and more.
- Assist in conducting laboratory and/or clinical research under the guidance of senior researchers and faculty members.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Maintain research records, databases, and documentation in compliance with institutional guidelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of research presentations, reports, and publications.
- Participate in research team meetings and collaborative discussions.
- Engage in literature reviews and assist with the development of research hypotheses and protocols.
- Learn and apply research techniques, methodologies, and safety procedures.
- Support administrative tasks related to research activities, such as scheduling meetings and organizing materials.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at an accredited institution.
- A major in a relevant field (e.g., biology, chemistry, health sciences, biomedical engineering, public health, etc.).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong interest in research, science, and healthcare.
- No prior research experience is required, although it is an advantage.
- Previous coursework or exposure to laboratory or clinical settings is a plus.
- Experience with data analysis tools or scientific software is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
