Description

The Navy Civilian Internship Research Graduate Program 2025 is designed for recent graduates who are eager to contribute to innovative research and development within the U.S. Navy. Responsibilities
  • Participate in and contribute to research projects that support the U.S. Navy’s mission, focusing on defense technology, cybersecurity, maritime operations, and more.
  • Analyze data and provide insightful recommendations based on research findings.
  • Collaborate with Navy personnel, engineers, and other researchers to implement solutions to real-world challenges.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate research outcomes.
  • Support the development of prototypes, models, and simulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development related to Navy operations and technological advancements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
  • Assist in other research-related administrative tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, data science, physics, cybersecurity, mathematics, or other related disciplines.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Strong academic record with a demonstrated passion for research and development in defense technologies.
Experience
  • Previous academic or internship experience in a research or technical role is desirable.
  • Exposure to defense-related projects or knowledge of military operations is an advantage.
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, simulation, or programming in languages such as Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar is a plus.
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for presenting research findings.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Proficiency with research tools, programming languages, and statistical software.
  • Knowledge of technical report writing and scientific documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
