PECO Energy Company is seeking enthusiastic and driven engineering students to join our Summer Internship Program for 2025. This internship offers students an invaluable opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios within the energy industry. Interns will gain hands-on experience, exposure to various engineering disciplines, and the chance to work alongside our talented team of professionals.
- Assist with engineering design, analysis, and project management in areas such as electrical, civil, mechanical, and environmental engineering.
- Participate in fieldwork, including inspections, data collection, and on-site project support.
- Contribute to the development of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation.
- Work collaboratively with senior engineers on ongoing projects, providing insights and recommendations.
- Attend team meetings and engage in problem-solving discussions related to engineering challenges.
- Participate in safety and operational training to gain a deeper understanding of industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall engineering department.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or related field).
- Strong academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent).
- Must be available to work full-time during the summer internship (typically 10-12 weeks).
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
- Prior internship experience in an engineering-related field is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with basic engineering principles, tools, and software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with engineering software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar) is a plus.
