Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic students to join our internship program for 2025. This program offers students a unique opportunity to gain valuable, real-world experience in aviation operations, airport management, customer service, and engineering. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects that support PIT’s mission of providing safe, efficient, and innovative air travel solutions. This hands-on experience is ideal for students interested in the aviation industry and public service.
- Operational Support: Assist in day-to-day airport operations, including customer service, safety protocols, and terminal management.
- Project and Data Analysis: Conduct research and analyze data related to airport efficiency, passenger experience, and safety improvements.
- Engineering and Facilities Assistance: Support engineering projects, facility maintenance, and infrastructure development, depending on area of study.
- Customer Engagement and Outreach: Participate in customer service initiatives, helping develop resources and strategies to enhance the passenger experience.
- Administrative Support: Assist with preparing documents, reports, and presentations and help coordinate meetings for various departments.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major in Aviation, Business Administration, Engineering, Hospitality Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Interest in the aviation industry and airport operations.
- Must have U.S. work authorization and be available for the summer 2025 internship period.
- Prior internship or part-time experience in aviation, customer service, or project management is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis, engineering projects, or public-facing roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with airport operations or public service environments is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, able to interpret information and contribute to operational improvements.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and airport personnel.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data handling, reporting, and documentation.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, showing flexibility and initiative.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and, if relevant, engineering or data
