Description

The Rockefeller Foundation Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for emerging professionals to gain hands-on experience in global development, philanthropy, and impact-focused work. Interns will contribute to the Foundation's mission of promoting the well-being of humanity, with a particular focus on health, food, energy, and jobs. Responsibilities
  • Assist with ongoing research projects, providing data analysis, and drafting reports to inform key strategic decisions.
  • Support the development of program materials, proposals, and communications that align with the Foundation's priorities.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and workshops to contribute fresh ideas to various initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, organizing events, and preparing necessary documents.
  • Help manage and update databases, tracking systems, and project management tools.
  • Engage with stakeholders and partners, assisting with the preparation of presentations and other outreach materials.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, ensuring a smooth exchange of information and a clear understanding of project goals.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related field such as Public Policy, Global Development, Economics, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Academic coursework or a demonstrated interest in philanthropy, international development, public health, or environmental sustainability is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of global challenges, particularly in health, food, energy, or jobs, and their intersections with equity and sustainability.
Experience
  • No prior professional experience is required, but any experience in research, international development, public policy, or social impact-related internships or volunteer work is a plus.
  • Experience with project management tools and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau, etc.) is beneficial.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to collect, synthesize, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with familiarity in other digital tools being advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about social impact and global development.
