Description

The Secret Service Internship Graduate Program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the U.S. Secret Service professionals and gain hands-on experience in various operational and support functions. This program is designed for recent graduates seeking to enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of the critical security roles carried out by the Secret Service. Interns will contribute to national security efforts while gaining valuable exposure to high-level operations in a prestigious federal agency.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the protection of high-profile individuals, including the President, Vice President, and other senior officials, as well as major national events.
  • Support the investigation and prevention of financial crimes such as cybercrime, identity theft, and credit card fraud.
  • Engage in fieldwork and surveillance operations under the guidance of experienced Secret Service agents and officers.
  • Collaborate with various federal, state, and local agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to security.
  • Participate in intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting to support national security initiatives.
  • Assist with planning and executing security measures for large-scale events, including political gatherings, international summits, and public appearances.
  • Prepare reports and documents related to security operations, investigations, and policy recommendations.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge in law enforcement.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree (or expected graduation in 2025) from an accredited institution in fields such as Criminal Justice, Political Science, Law Enforcement, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Applicants must be available for full-time internship from summer 2025 through fall 2025.
Experience
  • Prior internship experience in law enforcement, intelligence, or public safety is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with security protocols, investigative practices, or criminal justice systems is a plus.
  • No prior Secret Service experience is required; however, an understanding of federal law enforcement agencies and their role in national security is beneficial.
Skills

  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, investigation techniques, and digital forensics is an advantage.
