The Sutter Health Margaret Page Program offers an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to gain valuable experience in the healthcare industry during the summer of 2025. This internship program is designed to expose participants to a wide range of healthcare roles while fostering leadership, innovation, and community-focused healthcare solutions. Interns will work alongside healthcare professionals, learn about various departments within the organization, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact the lives of patients and communities.
As a participant in the Margaret Page Program, you will be engaged in a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including:
- Assisting healthcare teams with day-to-day operations, providing support in clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Collaborating with staff on patient care, administrative processes, and healthcare service optimization projects.
- Participating in meetings and discussions related to healthcare improvement and innovation.
- Conducting research on healthcare trends, best practices, and patient care models.
- Developing and presenting reports on projects and research findings to senior leaders.
- Gaining exposure to various departments such as nursing, clinical research, patient experience, human resources, and operations.
- Shadowing healthcare professionals to learn about their roles and the impact they have on patient care.
- Participating in leadership development workshops and networking events with healthcare leaders.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university, preferably with a focus on healthcare, public health, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong academic standing with a demonstrated interest in healthcare management, patient care, or health policy.
- Desire to develop leadership skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry.
- Previous internship, volunteer, or work experience in a healthcare or community service setting is a plus, but not required.
- Experience in research, customer service, or administrative roles is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse groups.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
