Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of key transport projects, programs, and services across Greater Manchester.
- Assist with the development, analysis, and management of data to improve transport services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused transport solutions.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of transportation infrastructure and services.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and strategic documents for senior management.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance TfGM’s operations and service delivery.
- Participate in community engagement activities and support local transport campaigns.
- Attend workshops, training, and seminars to develop technical knowledge and professional skills.
- Provide administrative support to various departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a 2:2 degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Business Management, or similar fields).
- Alternatively, a relevant vocational qualification with work experience in transport or infrastructure can be considered.
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) are required.
Experience
- Previous internship or work experience in a transport, logistics, or infrastructure-related role is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working on projects or in a customer service environment is advantageous.
- Any experience with data analysis, research, or reporting will be beneficial.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- An interest in transport planning, sustainability, and urban mobility.
