Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is offering exciting Internship Graduate and Apprenticeship opportunities for 2025. Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of key transport projects, programs, and services across Greater Manchester.
  • Assist with the development, analysis, and management of data to improve transport services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused transport solutions.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of transportation infrastructure and services.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and strategic documents for senior management.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance TfGM’s operations and service delivery.
  • Participate in community engagement activities and support local transport campaigns.
  • Attend workshops, training, and seminars to develop technical knowledge and professional skills.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a 2:2 degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Business Management, or similar fields).
  • Alternatively, a relevant vocational qualification with work experience in transport or infrastructure can be considered.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) are required.
Experience
  • Previous internship or work experience in a transport, logistics, or infrastructure-related role is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working on projects or in a customer service environment is advantageous.
  • Any experience with data analysis, research, or reporting will be beneficial.
Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • An interest in transport planning, sustainability, and urban mobility.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning new skills.
