Description
Transport for Wales (TfW) is offering an exciting Internship Placement and Apprenticeship opportunity for the year 2025. The role provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the transport sector while contributing to the development of sustainable transportation across Wales. Successful candidates will gain practical knowledge in project management, operations, customer service, and other key areas of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations across various TfW departments.
- Assist with the development and implementation of transport projects.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver customer service improvements.
- Participate in data analysis, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and documents for stakeholders.
- Engage in activities related to sustainability, innovation, and transport technology.
- Contribute to planning and managing transport solutions across Wales.
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance professional skills.
- Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- An interest in transport, infrastructure, or related industries.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Experience
- Previous work experience is not essential but would be beneficial.
- Any experience in customer service, project support, or transportation is a plus.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
